Thank you to everyone who took part and those who sponsored out participants!

Sunday 6 July – British 10k Run

For those that didn?t fancy conquering their fear of heights, they took part in our British 10k Run. Many of our runners ran through the rain and awful winds to raise £3,400 for us. Whilst some may have initially doubted their fitness for the challenge, Rebecca Sloane (one of our co-ordinators), who was there to encourage and support our runners said everybody had a great time. Thank you to all of our runners who trained their socks off to take part and thank you to everyone who sponsored them!

Imagine jumping from an aircraft flying at over 10,000ft in the air and free falling through the sky at 120mph—well this is exactly what some daring supporters did on Saturday 13 October at an airfield near Maidstone in Kent to help raise money for Springboard for Children. Supporters didn't let the troublesome English weather dampen their spirits and although they were all very nervous before the jump afterwards they were all in high spirits and said the experience was absolutely amazing!

Manchester Abseil – Sunday 3 June

A big thank you to everyone who took part. Springboard for Children teamed up with Manchester Town Hall to carry out a daring abseil; volunteers descended down the side of the building, on Sunday 3rd June to raise money for charity.

The Town Hall is such a well known building; it is perfectly located and boasts spectacular views of the city so the abseil will be a breathtaking experience.

This challenge for charity was an unforgettable event for all involved and the money raised from the abseil will help fund Springboard for Children’s work with children in inner-city primary schools, who have literacy difficulties and experience failure and frustration without this help.

A special well done to Janice Orchard for raising in the region of £800 – an amazing achievement!

In addition to this there were lots of fundraising activities throughout the evening and in total the dinner raised £32,000.
