SpLD qualified Teaching Coordinators required
As part of our continued growth and expansion, we are setting up new units in two London primary schools – one in Islington and one in Lambeth. We wish to recruit suitably qualified and experienced people to oversee the teaching teams and train and support our volunteers in each of those units. The posts are part-time: two days each; it may be possible to combine the posts as a four day appointment. The salary will be in the region of £20,000-23,000 pa (pro rata) depending on previous experience.
Following promotion of the current post holder, we now have a further Teaching Coordinator post available in our unit in Lark Hall Primary School which was established nearly four years ago. It may be possible to combine this two day post with one of the other vacancies. The salary will be in the region of £20,000-23,000 pa (pro rata) depending on previous experience.
Additionally, our largest unit in Southwark requires an assistant Coordinator to join the team of supervisors supporting the team there. The post is part-time: 10.5 hours to be worked across two days (it may be possible to combine this with one of the above posts). The salary will be in the region of £18,000-20,000 pa (pro rata) depending on previous experience.
These are exciting opportunities for teachers with particular interest in literacy and special needs to use their experience to enable more children to succeed. Springboard for Children offers a supportive environment working as part of a team to achieve the aims of the organisation.
In addition to a post-graduate qualification in SpLD, ideal applicants will have:
- teaching experience in a mainstream primary school
- experience in supervising and training unqualified staff and/or volunteers
- good organisational skills
- excellent interpersonal skills
- confidence in handling IT
