Jobs
Training Coordinator
(4 days a week)
Springboard for Children, in partnership with Dyslexia Action and the British Dyslexia Association is embarking on a two-year government funded project – ‘Sound Check’ - which aims to support the needs of children at KS1 who have not met the requirements of the schools’ Phonics Screening Check. This project will be based in three centres: the City of Leeds, Greater Manchester, and Swindon Borough.
Springboard for Children’s role in this project is to:
- Develop and deliver a whole school phonics/literacy based training package for all teachers and teaching assistants in participating project schools.
- Develop and deliver a phonics/literacy workshop for parents and carers of children in participating project schools.
We are looking for a dynamic trainer to join the Springboard for Children team to take responsibility for the development and delivery of training on this project and to support our existing work in this field.
This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to take the lead in expanding Springboard for Children’s reach, designing and developing new training packages and ensuring that Sound Check project schools receive excellent CPD. Experience of delivering high quality phonics/literacy training in schools is essential as is the ability to travel extensively between London and the Project Areas.
